#100LBWeightLossJourney – Building a DogHouse
Well, I’m not REALLY building a doghouse….but, you know the phrase that gets used when women are mad at a man and they say “you’re in the doghouse”….hey…there’s even an Elvis song..no wait..that’s jailhouse….LOL..I need more coffee…anyways back to wait I was trying to say….”you’re in the doghouse”…that is how I felt after this morning’s workout..and where I think Shaun T needs to go, to the doghouse. (Just kidding!)
Yep, I was slightly smiling, more awake then yesterday. Got myself together and laced up my sneakers and found my mat, and thought, “Oh GOD, what do I have to do today that requires a mat?” and then I looked at today’s scheduled workout……….
Ab Intervals…..I hate floor work in general because the moves are usually beyond what I can manage and I usually end up not getting much of a workout at all.
But, I said well, Shaun T is very encouraging and always says to try your best and it will get better…and I for one know that is true, because a year or two ago, getting up off the floor was really hard to do, and now, I can do it pretty quickly on days that my fibro isn’t bugging me.
So, I hit play and got ready for the horror of doing not just floor work, but, ab work. Yuk!
See this gorgeous god-like creature below? He’s on my naughty list for making me do ab work and switching from floor and standing so quickly…That’s Shaun T, and he is one of my absolute favorite trainers. Not only is he great to look at and listen to, but, he really seems genuine in wanting to help people on their journeys.
I had to modify and modify again, and sometimes I was doing my own moves working the same body part because I am not able to manage some of the moves.
But, the ones I could do, I pushed myself really hard. And guess what?
This was one time when I actually was about to push and get a good workout because I made adjustments and didn’t just give up and stop…..and guess what else?
Oh wait…..I didn’t just work it……..
I forgot to check the 30 Day Ab Challenge poster from #thefitpartners to see what today’s workout entailed so, I just upped my numbers and THEN found out I was suppose to rest my arms today….OOoooopppps!
Tonight, provided the rain goes away, I plan to get out running. But, if it is raining hard I will not be going out..I’d prefer to run in snow then rain! (And I used to hate winter!)
