My 100LB WeightLoss Journey Day #3
I really, really, really did not want to get up this morning…but, I did. My legs and feet were (and still are) hurting from my walk last night.
But, I got up and did my workout: “Jillian Michael’s 30 day Shred” workout – Level 1.
The first video I out on was “Denise Austin’s Burn Fat Fast Cardio Blast”..but after the first 30 seconds I could not stand looking at or listening to Denise Austin..she looks like a deer caught in the headlights of an on-coming car and sounds like she’s stoned..LOL..sorry..but, it’s the truth…so I shut if off and put on Jillian Austin’s video…..
Well, I went from one extreme to the next….Denise Austin is an unsympathetic drill sergent whom has NO respect or empathy for people just starting out. I was doing modifications and she pipes up that even she has 400lb people who can do jumping jacks so I had no excuse for not doing them….okay..1) Very creepy that she said that, right at that moment….and 2)I’m sorry but, I’m doing this for me and if I am not comfortable yet trying to do fast jumping jacks…kiss my tush!
Don’t get me wrong some people need their coach to be an asshole and push them hard…but, that’s definitely not what I need and definitely not what I want from a workout video – somebody belittling me all the way through.
So, I am going to go back and review more of the Turbo Fire and Beach Body videos with Chalene Johnson in them as she is MAGNIFICENT at how she motivates. She is strong and encouraging and supports modifications….I definitely enjoy her enthusiasm and energy.
So, after I did my workout his morning and got my little guy on the bus for school, I managed to get most of the everyday housework done and my little girl off to preschool by 9am!
I’m not going to lie….it’s been hard to stay away from picking up some snacks today..but, so far so good. I only had a little 2 starburst (halloween sized) candy. I am saving up because I would really like someone popcorn tonight…hubby was snacking and eating all last night while I was in here typing and I was getting incredibly frustrated, knowing I was past my point of no return for having snacks.
It would be nice if he would learn to get his body trained to eat at proper meals times and not snack past a certain time of the day too but, that’s not going to happen….so I get to suffer with drinking my water while he gets to snack…so not fair! ;-p Oh well. I wouldn’t be in this situation if I had kept on exercising and limiting my snacks in the first place. Now it’s time for me to listen to my own advice of “Suck It Up Princess”…LOL.
My kids just had freezies, and I couldn’t resist having one…but, I also was doing some yard clean up and I think I did enough of that and with playing with them outside to have burned off those calories. 🙂
Time to go do some beadwork! I’ll be back tonight with a final report of Day #3!
